Diverse Range of Models and Specifications
Currently, four CDH options are available: standard, MEM optimized, computing, and high-I/O.
- Standard: Offers balanced computing, memory, and network resources suitable for most application scenarios.
- MEM optimized: Designed with large memory capacity, ideal for applications requiring extensive memory operations, lookups, and calculations such as high-performance databases and distributed memory caches.
- Computing: Provides high random IOPS, throughput, and low access latency, catering to I/O-intensive applications like high-performance databases with demanding disk read/write and latency requirements.
- High-I/O: Delivers the highest single-core computing performance, suitable for compute-intensive applications such as batch processing, high-performance computing, and large-scale gaming servers.
Flexible Creation and Specification Adjustment
CVM instances can be created by specifying one or more CDHs. There are no restrictions on CVM instance specifications, allowing customization based on host resources. This flexibility enables efficient planning and allocation of resources. A wide range of computing, network, and disk options are available for adjustment. You can upgrade/downgrade CPU and memory specifications and enhance disk specifications.
Multiple Regions and Availability Zones
Operates hosted IDCs in numerous global regions, allowing you to select a region close to your target clients for CDH deployment. This proximity significantly reduces access latency and improves user experience.
Each region has multiple availability zones. For businesses requiring high disaster recovery performance, CDH instances can be deployed across different availability zones within the same region to safeguard applications from the failure of a single availability zone.
Rich Image Sources
Offers three types of images:
- Public images: Provided by Cloud, containing the basic operating system and initialization components accessible to all users.
- Custom images: Created by users using the image creation function, accessible exclusively to the creator.
- Shared images: Shared by other users and utilized solely for instance creation.
Backup Server Operating Environment
Custom images can serve to back up the server’s system disk, facilitating swift data recovery.
Cross-region Image Replication
Custom images can be replicated across different regions, leveraging geographical advantages. Explore further details on custom image operations.
Batch Deployment of Software Environment
CVM instances can be created in batches by generating an image of a CVM instance with a deployed environment, enabling rapid and batch deployment of software environments.
High Reliability
Cloud Block Storage (CBS) offers data block-grade persistent storage known for its exceptional reliability, boasting industry-leading high availability and data integrity up to 99.999999%. CBS employs a three-copy storage mechanism, ensuring swift data migration and recovery in case of any single copy failure. With three available copies at all times, CBS provides a secure storage solution, offering peace of mind.
High Performance
CBS provides three options: HDD cloud disk, premium cloud disk, and SSD cloud disk, catering to various requirements. The SSD cloud disk utilizes NVMe high-performance SSDs, capable of delivering 24,000 random IOPS and throughput of 260 MB/s per disk, ensuring superior performance alongside ultra-high reliability.
Snapshot Backup
By capturing snapshots of CBS to create backup copies of data, users can generate new cloud disks from snapshots and connect them to other instances as needed, enhancing business agility.
Scalability
CBS offers flexible storage capacity configuration and on-demand expansion without disrupting business operations. Single-disk capacity ranges from 10 to 16,000 GB, with up to 160 TB of storage mountable to a single CVM instance. There’s no upper limit for the storage capacity of a single CBS cluster, enabling efficient management of big data processing scenarios at the terabyte and petabyte levels.
High-Quality Connectivity:
Offers a top-tier BGP network, ensuring an exceptional Internet browsing experience with lightning-fast speeds. Our BGP network seamlessly connects to all major ISPs in China, spanning over 20 lines. In the event of an Internet ingress failure, cross-regional scheduling takes just seconds to restore connectivity.
Security Measures:
Utilize our Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) to establish an independent virtual network space in the cloud, where cloud resources can be launched securely. Connect your IDC to VPC via a VPN connection or direct connect link, extending as an integrated part of your IDC infrastructure. Manage traffic to and from each VPC subnet with granular access policy controls (ACL). Additionally, control inbound and outbound traffic for individual instances by configuring security group policies.
Elastic IP Flexibility:
With Elastic IP (EIP) addresses, enjoy the flexibility of static IP addresses tailored for dynamic cloud computing environments. Easily bind an EIP to a CVM instance within your account, and in the event of instance failure, swiftly reassign the EIP to another CVM instance, ensuring uninterrupted business operations.
Monitoring Capabilities:
Benefit from comprehensive monitoring of CDH and CVM instances with multi-dimensional metrics, including CPU utilization, memory utilization, and disk utilization. Configure alarm trigger thresholds for various metrics on CVM instances, with customizable options for alarm notification recipients and delivery channels.
Scenarios
Financial Businesses
High-performance Businesses

Financial institutions frequently encounter stringent compliance mandates. Users can deploy their businesses on CVM instances within CDH, guaranteeing physical isolation from other users’ servers. This setup allows them to utilize resources exclusively for meeting the demands of safeguarding sensitive business data and conducting disk demagnetization.

In business scenarios demanding high performance stability, like live game broadcasting, CDH ensures exclusive access to physical server resources. Users can strategically plan business deployments on CDH, maximizing resource utilization and preventing resource contention.
